With a focus on the rural market from the Auckland Harbour Bridge to Whangarei John successfully transacted in excess of 8,712 hectares (21,519  acres) and $129 million plus worth of farms and lifestyle blocks since 2009, making him one of the most successful in the north of Auckland rural market.

Prior to joining Bayleys John earned a Diploma of Agriculture and a Bachelor of Commerce and Management (Marketing) at Lincoln University. He then went on to work, in senior sales and marketing roles, for a number of companies with involvement in the rural sector, including Monsanto and ASB Bank. Having been raised in the Manawatu on a sheep, beef and cropping farm John has his feet on the ground and a good understanding of the rural community.

John says there is no magic bullet to being successful in the rural real estate sector but he credits his success to an honest pragmatic approach to sales and his belief in targeted marketing campaigns.

"In order to maximise the results for my vendors, I have to ensure that I leave no stone unturned, reaching not just the buyers that I already know about and communicate with through my database, but also those who may be fence-sitting or who have been passively observing the market from afar".
 “Developing results…not empty promises!”
